At North Forsyth High School, we believe that before and after school activities are an important part of the high school experience. Research shows that students who become involved in extracurricular activities are likely to be more successful in school. North Forsyth High School takes great pride in offering over sixty clubs, sports, and activities designed around various student interests and abilities. We hope that participation in these clubs will lead to the growth of the students into well rounded, productive adults.

In addition to county competitions, the team also competes in online competitions and can earn an invitation to state and national competitions. | Carpe Librium Book Club | Carpe Libre Club's purpose is to encourage and celebrate reading for pleasure. Club members, led by their elected officers, will select works to read individually and discuss as a group. | Chess Club | Chess club is all about playing chess. We meet the 4th Wednesday of each month during Wellness, so keep an eye out in Student Support Time. | Civitan Club | Civitan International is an association of communityservice clubs founded in 1917. | Fellowship of Christian Athletes | Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a Christian ministry that encourages students to grow in their faith and live out Christian values in their sports and personal lives. | French Honor Society | The FHS was established at NFHS to recognize students who show outstanding ability in French, while inspiring continued growth in the field. The French Honor society is a national organization that seeks to recognize students who excel in French. The FHS inducts new members each year in the early spring. Students selected to this honorary organization must meet select eligibility requirements. They must be enrolled in their second semester of French II or higher, have a 3.0 or higher GPA in all academic classes except French and must have a 4.0 GPA in French. Students must also have shown an interest and leadership in other aspects of French study outside of the classroom. They must also exemplify good citizens of our school community. |

| Math Team | The North Forsyth Math Team is a prelude to the Math Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta. Students from grades 9-12 can participate in Math Team. We compete monthly in Georgia Math League, and we participate in the High School Math Competitions at UGA in October and Ga Tech in the spring. | MCJROTC | North Forsyth High School's Marine Corps Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC), directed by Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CWO3) C.K. Villarouel and Master Gunnery Sergeant Randy Merritt, is a program focused on instilling a sense of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment in its cadets. Those who enter the program leave with leadership skills necessary for life beyond high school. | Mu Alpha Theta | Mu Alpha Theta is a National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society. The purpose of this organization is to promote scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of mathematics among high school (or two-year college) students. Mu Alpha Theta students will participate in tutoring during IF, mornings and afternoons, tutoring at the middle school, and possibly establishing a math tournament for our feeder middle schools. | National Art Honor Society | National Art Honor Society is designed specifically for high school students in grades 10-12. In 1978, the National Art Educators Association began the NAHS program specifically for high school students for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. NAHS also strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. | National English Honor Society | The National English Honor Society recognizes the academic accomplishments of American’s high school students and promotes their continuing interest in the English language arts. Membership is by invitation and requires an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 with a 4.0 in on-level English classes and/or a 3.5 in Honors/AP English classes. Students are eligible for membership after the completion of their freshman year. NEHS members engage in two service projects during the school year, both involving promotion of literature in some way. | National History Day | To build and strengthen to skills necessary for success in college and career while offering students a chance to compete on a chosen theme. For the 2025-2026 school year the theme is “Revolution, Reaction, Reform” in history. Students research and decide what event, person, or situation they want to highlight through this theme. Students choose historical topics related to this theme and conduct extensive primary and secondary research through libraries, archives, museums, oral history interviews, and historic sites. | National Honor Society | NHS is a service-based organization that recognizes outstanding high school students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.8 and demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. | National Spanish Honor Society | The Spanish National Honor Society, also known as the SHH (Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica), is a national academic honor society focused on teaching high school students about the Spanish language and culture. The Honor Society typically meets once a month and has many extra-curricular activities. It is affiliated with the national organization, and its members may participate in the national convention, trips, scholarship opportunities, and scholarly publications. To be inducted as a member of the Spanish National Honor Society, a student must have a minimum cumulative average of 3.0, A's and B's in Spanish classes, and be enrolled in a Spanish class at or above Spanish 4. | Bass Fishing | The NFHS Bass Fishing Team is a GHSA sanctioned sport. The GHSA Bass Fishing season begins in January and runs through May. There is one regional qualifier each month with the State Championship tournament taking place in May. NFHS is able to send up to six teams of two to each qualifer. All studet athletes have to be taking and passing five classes to participate.
